ebay running sooooo slow, especially when clicking on my watchlist

If you have an Adblocker plugin running while using the eBay website, that is likely the cause, similar to the current issues with other platforms like YouTube. 

If you disable the plugin for eBay and refresh the page, you should no longer experience any issues!

It's not just you in fact I came here looking to see if anyone already posted about the site's sluggishness today.  It's dragging its' butt to load each page and even commands like zooming in on photos. And I'm just talking about basic 'buyer' activity;  I haven't even tried doing any seller function stuff, but I bet it's even worse.  
I mainly use Chrome but I also tried Safari and it is not any better.  It's EBAY, not you.

At least one user has said that switching from Chrome to Edge allowed things to load faster, though admittedly the issue may be something other than the actual browser, but possibly related to version, settings, add-ons, cache or cookies.

It's been horrible all day. I tried my other laptop thinking something was wrong with the one I was using, but nope, same thing with it. I changed browsers, didn't help. I vleared cashe, didnt help. Guess I will just have to wait it out. Did almost nothing on here today, and wanted to throw my computer across the room, lol.

I stopped listing tonight because it was so slow.  ANd I've had trouble getting orders to load for packaging.

Go figure, layoff 1000 people and your website goes to crap right after you announce it.  Probably laid off their IT staff!

Or rather eBay made a probable, deliberate change that causes the pages to load slower if you have an ad blocker.

Oh yes, god forbid we shouldn't see all the ads they load on every page.

It's becoming more of a click bait site than a marketplace every day.

Try disabling just your ABP filters in Ad Block Plus and see if that allows you to block ads and still get search results to load in a reasonable amount of time.

In the past that set of filters and the similar "Anti-Circumvention" Filters in Ad Block have been associated with slow loading search results.

It is possible that eBay has changed something that inadvertently triggers that filter, or perhaps the filter itself was updated in such a way that it conflicts with eBay's page, or a combination of both.

Any difference if you use a private or incognito browser window?

I shutdown AdblockPlus for Ebay and it magically started working again. You were right!! I reported it to AdblockPlus.

Well I would check but the problem is now completely over (for me anyway) even on Chrome, with AdBlock running.  I had hoped it was just another of eBay's weird 1-2 day glitches, and at least for me that appears to be the case.

that did not really help. it went from taking 10 seconds to load down to 8.
