eBay's "Ridiculous" Security Policies

Anonymous
Not applicable

I like to collect MCM antique's for my home, but I am now just too fed up with eBays  "Verify your self" security policy, to continue to shop here anymore!..   "Verify your self" to sign in "Verify your self" to see sellers feedback "Verify your self" & password to see my personal info, even as I'm signed in to my account!. No other web stores security policies are this "Ridiculous". I will be closing my account over this constant and petty security policy!,  after I receive my last order today  7/1/23. I will be go back to Esty.com. To eBays security team, I sure am glad I don't have your nerve in my tooth!

eBay's "Ridiculous" Security Policies

Repeated verification requests are often a symptom of a browser not being able to save or retain cookies properly, or a problem with a corrupt cookie. Most users rarely have to undergo verification unless deleting eBay cookies or using an unfamiliar browser, device or network.

Any difference if you use a different browser?

Or it may be related to a network issue, particularly if you are using a VPN or hotspot, or certain types of privacy software.

Otherwise, if eBay has noticed suspicious account activity -- like simultaneous sign-ins from disparate locations -- eBay may require additional verification.
