For the last couple of months eBay is not properly showing a shipment that's been "Delivered to Agent" as "Delivered". It simply shows the item as "Shipped", and when you click on the tracking number eBay's pop-up tracking info does not even show "Out for Delivery", and actually says "The Item Is Ready For Pickup".
This is wrong, Delivered to Agent is the same thing as "Delivered". It's most commonly used when the item is delivered to a 3rd party such as a courier service, because the courier service is the "Agent" in question. On the USPS tracking page it does not state that anything is waiting to be picked up, and if it was the most recent tracking entry and status would say "Available for Pickup". It doesn't say that, it says delivered.
I've been wondering when I would finally have a not-received case opened for an item with this issue and that just happened, for a courier service that I am familiar with and seem to have a lot of issues with. So I am concerned about whether or not I will be protected from this, because in eBay's system it's not showing as delivered.

Buyers are clicking the eBay tracking number and are given the impression that these items are still in transit, even though they are long since been delivered.

One of the threads has been replied to by a "blue" assuring us that we will be covered in these instances. Perhaps someone will chime in with a link to that thread. I did not bookmark it, so likely I won't find it.

Well, I have a case opened for one and a really irate customer who's telling me "why can't I see that it's still 'In Transit'". He's obviously getting that from eBay's tracking info page, it's not helpful at all and eBay needs to get this fixed.
I'll post my experience when this case resolves and we'll see what happens 🙂

dealing with this right now to a freight forward customer. They had already opened an INR, and now Im stressing about it.

My buyer opened 2 cases for items sent weeks apart, he contacted eBay support, and eBay proceeded normally and did not refund the buyer. So I'm a little less worried about that part now.

UPDATE- buyer contacted eBay customer support and they proceeded normally and did not issue a refund to the buyer because it was delivered. So hopefully that part is okay, it's just confusing buyers with wrong information.
