had an auction item that sold, never received the money. contacted buyer twice, contacted eBay, now item is listed as SOLD!!! I contacted eBay to REMOVE item and it is still listed as SOLD!!

Did you cancel the order for non-payment? If so, there is nothing further for anyone to do. It remains SOLD.

If you wish to try to sell it again, you need to relist.

Doesn't matter if the buyer didn't pay, the item sold and it'll stay that way.

Why do you need to contact ebay to remove an item?

What are the options next to the listing in this window?

All items whether they are paid or not will show as sold.
eBay doesn’t keep up with non payers it is the seller who needs to be proactive in cancelling items for non payment after 4 days from date of sale.
When you cancel for non payment any fees incurred will be credited.

If the item bothers you, you can archive it. Archive can be found by clicking the drop down menu next to the item.Click the “V” to open menu.

@zefcha_9 It is listed as sold because it did in fact sell. It seems you haven't sold items in a while, so you really need to read up on the policies to insure you are familiar with all of the new updated policies. There you can read how to deal with non-paying buyers and learn what the procedures are to leave a non-payment strike on the buyer, get a refund on your seller fees, and get your item relisted at no cost.
