eBay is going to loose me as a customer if I can't get a phone number to contact them!

I've been going over all the eBay websites I can find. Customer service, and all the help sites, Looking for one thing only. A phone number where I may contact a real person! I once had a phone number. Why can I not find one now? When I really need one.

Many large companies have taken customer service to social media, in an effort to cut down on the expense on handling a call center. You can contact eBay using either of the links below. You can still request a call back using eBay but that call center is manned by an outside company which uses reps who follow a script and really cannot help you.

You can also post your issue on this forum and you will receive better advice from others. Best of luck to you....

Several options are available to you -- click on the "Help & Contact" icon at the top left of your screen, and keep clicking on buttons until a phone number pops up.  HOWEVER -- that phone number is answered mostly by a customer service organization located in the Philippines, and they probably will not be of much help.

Or you can go to Facebook Business, and go to the eBay site there -- those phones are answered by very knowledgeable eBay representatives.

Or -- you can just ask us, right here on the eBay community boards.  None of us are eBay employees -- just mostly a bunch of eBay sellers and buyers, who have a lot of experience regarding eBay issues.

So -- your choice.

@zac49397

90% chance that you do not need to talk to CS. Following "in place" policies can generally resolve problems.

Buyer/sellers here in the community can steer you to those policies. No personal info about buyer/seller should be posted. Just what the issue is.

High %age chance that the "run of the mill" /"off shore"CS call back from the "help and contact" page will not resolve your issue, and a chance that misinformation will be provided if they have to go "off script".

If you have a serious problem the Facebook, or Twitter CSR contact suggested by lamber9347 is the best avenue.

Another problem may be you finding this thread again.

Easy, just click on your profile picture, upper right corner. It will open the window showing your post and replies.

I have a contact number for eBay, it's the number that shows up when they call. It is pointless to call because it just directs you back to the web. I have found using the seller help page to contact eBay can be very helpful once you get past the bot. The bot actually gave me the wrong link (on my buying account) and caused me to close out the wrong return.

While I agree most issues with eBay are user error there are issues that are not user errors and when you can finally reach someone at eBay through whatever method they are always very helpful provided you can also convince them that the issue is not user error.

Good Luck!

Customer service used to be a profession in the past, now it is considered a liability. They tell you how to communicate with them. Brick and mortar stores have a better way to serve customer, but there is a cost associated with it.

You've been on all the eBay websites,,,,,,,? Um, if you're  registered in the US this is the only website you should be on looking for their number.  (ebay.com)

It's  not hard to find. It's found under Help & Contact.
