eBay drops ball AGAIN. FUMBLE! My return address on opened returns ONLY was changed, and not by me.

Looks like a common problem, as I have seen several others with the same issue!

you need to fix this or get new IT people who can actually do their job. 
eBay changed my return address. On opened returns from buyers. That’s it. Not on my labels shipped to buyers. Only on EBAY generated return labels for items buyers do not want anymore.. Without me telling them to. They changed it to an address I have not used in 6 years. And the address that I started my entire account with, 12 years ago. 
customer service says “we don’t change addresses.” Yep, yep you do. I didn’t change my return address to the one I started my account with in 2008. Haven’t lived there in 6 years. That’s dumb. I’m on here every day. I know how to change my addresses. Nothing was changed. Customer service also says “I started those listings with the wrong address.” Impossible. I have items from the same listings that were returned days before this issue started and again back to the correct location after I complained of the issue. That’s funny. If I “started” my listings with that incorrect address, wouldn’t the last 1000 returns have been sent to the wrong place? I have never had an issue with 1 return doing this. Since 2008. So no, I did not start my listings with that address or change it to the wrong one. And there’s no way ALL of the returns in 3 week period would do this. If I started it with 1 then that would make sense; but this is 50 different listings. You had a glitch. 2 of the items this has happened to have been refunded correctly back to me, due to YOUR mistake, your customer service team have told me TWICE now that I’m right and YOU messed up. I am still waiting on 6 others to be refunded back to me that you refuse to do and have another 40 that you will need to fix as well. This is YOUR problem. And I am not the only one. This seems to have happened randomly to other throughout the years. As I have found SEVERAL others with the same complaints. And if my return address was changed by me, then why didn’t the return address on my outgoing labels change? Why didn’t the items that I shipped to customers that didn’t provide apt #, or ones that couldn’t be delivered to address, get returned back to my incorrect address? They got returned back to me at the correct address, because I DID NOT CHANGE anything. Your system decided to provide the customers an address that was 6 years old and not my primary one. That’s not my problem, your system generates the label for them automatically, that’s YOUR problem. Send me my money that you continue to go into my PayPal and illegally take from me. Trying to cover up YOUR mistake. That’s deceptive. I have plenty of proof of what you’re doing. Get new IT people. Get new customer service people. And open up the dam phone lines so I can talk to someone and give me a REPLY button. You know you have issues you can’t fix or you wouldn’t be making it IMPOSSIBLE to talk to anyone. If you can’t handle this, how can you handle my payments with your lame “managed payments”? It is very scary to think you’re going to manage my money and you can’t even handle your own website from bugs/hacks/glitches. Everyone should be extremely scared. This is the company that’s about to manage your money and make you pay for shipping and send an item out before you get paid.

So if this is indeed a hack, and someone already has access to your infrastructure, this is going to be easy Pickens when you start to have everyone’s money on your servers. I guarantee there will be a massive hack and you will see it all over the news... “eBay forces sellers into managed payments, hackers make off with millions!”

thanks for treating a seller who’s done 2 million dollars on your site like a throw away. Welcome to eBay, were you are disposable, no matter if you bring them in $5 or $20k in fees a month. 
hope you guys enjoyed your corona vacation while I busted it every day for 15+ hrs. Some days staying up 26-27hrs straight just packing, for YOUR buyers, you know the only ones you care about. You’re welcome!

And if my return address was changed by me, then why didn’t the return address on my outgoing labels change? Why didn’t the items that I shipped to customers that didn’t provide apt #, or ones that couldn’t be delivered to address, get returned back to my incorrect address?

 

Because those are two different addresses.

Addresses returned to you due to insufficient address go to the return address on your label (the Ship from address).
