eBay Description iFrame Height Too Small – How to Fix?

Hey everyone,

I’m having an issue with the item description iframe on my eBay listings. The height of the iframe is too small, causing my description to show a scrollbar. This makes the listing look unprofessional and difficult to read.

I’m using a custom HTML template, and everything displays correctly outside of eBay, but once uploaded, the iframe height doesn’t expand properly.

What’s strange is that on some listings, the code works just fine, and the description displays as intended. But on others, the iframe height is too small, even though I’m using the same template. Not sure if this is an eBay-side issue or something in my code that’s affecting certain listings.

Has anyone else run into this issue? Any workarounds or fixes that have worked for you?

Having same issue since yesterday afternoon (3-26-25) on all four of my accounts.

Thanks for pointing that out. It looks like the 'Working Listing' was opening correctly due to stored cookies. When I tried opening it in a private/incognito window, I noticed that all the listings have the same issue.

A new error has surfaced, and it seems to be an issue on eBay's end. When I opened one of my listings, instead of displaying the small iframe, an error appeared. Here are the screenshots:

I've checked some other listings and mine and they are all like that.

Maybe another glitch, don't know.

All the listings seem to work fine now. I am closing this post with the conclusion that it was a glitch at eBay's end which now has been resolved. However, it is still unknown what caused this issue, and how it can be prevented in future.
