can't view followers (again)

...the url that worked before has been taken out by ebay ( username/followers#followers ) anyone know how to view them now? No reason why ebay needs to take the option to view who is following you away, simply ridiculous!

Yes, that link no longer works. As far as I know, there is no way to see your individual followers at this point.

i tried various url's that worked in the past, none of them worked...the last one that did was username/followers#followers ebay disabled that in the past few days. There is no reason sellers shouldn't be able to view who is following them, ebay can provide it through seller hub like they do link to view who your following.

Re: can't view followers (again)

It's probably hidden for the same reason they hide watchers ... both for privacy and because of seller abuse, unsolicited contact.

likely, yes, but it's nice to just see who is following. Sellers get unsolicited contact all the time "what's your lowest price?", "will you take (enter an absurd lowball amount here)", "can you hold this item for me (even though I'll never intend to actually order and pay for it)"... you ask me, these unsolicited contacts are far worse then seeing who is following you.

Re: can't view followers (again)

This sort of thing frustrates me so much. If they're going to take away a function that we've literally had for years, then tell us that they are taking it away and WHY.  Is it too hard to just explain something like that?

So many services and programs do this and it's just rude to take away functions that have been there since the start without explaining the reason to your customers.

If they told me it was because of privacy concerns, then OK - good reason - but I shouldn't be hoodwinked with a disappearing function and left to guess why.

Re: can't view followers (again)

@pandorasartbox the thing is, even if it is done for privacy reasons, eventually it won't be private, anything can be viewed and someone will figure out to access the followers list eventually. So it's just stupid idea if privacy is the reason. But aside from that, sellers should have access to see who is following them without having to bicker and complain to ebay to restore the feature. Since it's idea is modeled from social media what social media platform do you know you can't view and have access to your followers > none > because that would defeat the purpose of having followers/friends - what option does SM have? > for the profile owner to block others from seeing their followers/friends - and how does one view them other wise? > a link was hacked to be able to do so > result > nothing is private.
