One way to Combine items for shipping is to use the Bulk label printing feature on the regular Label flow (upper right corner). Clicking that opens the Bulk label page and you can use check boxes to select which items will be combined ... so far so good BUT when you go to print the label there is NO WAY to add the receipt portion to the bottom half of the page print out ... you have to print a separate "Summary" ....
TIMBER! I can here the trees falling from this paper wasting programming ...
When you click the Label printing layout options there is NO check box to add the Receipt ... (pic below).
And next is a real kicker ... when you go back to the regular label flow on your next sale the box to add the Receipt is apparently UN-checked because the next Label I printed was missing it ...
I swear the program designers have NEVER sold a single thing on eBay and if there are eBay employees checking the programming work then they are equally clueless ...

Agreed, well put.
Frustrating, also if you want to print the transaction details under payments, it needs two pages, with just a little (but important) text on the 2nd page. No reason this info couldn't fit into one page.
More wasted timber.
I just don't know what they talk about in the team meetings when planning this stuff. I am no expert but it seems to me this is entry level stuff. If I was providing tools for millions to use I would want it to be simple and logical.
To me wasting timber, as you described should be a sign to address the issue before launching it.
Again, I am no expert but isn't it an industry standard to test these tools?

@collectfest Yes, its industry standard to test the functionality of a tool BUT the problem is that the programmers have NO CLUEon how the tool is actually used because the DON'T SELL ON EBAY! That's the real problem, then when new eBay staff comes on board, same problem, if they have not had to deal with eBay's site, poor programming, etc then they don't even know what to look for or realize how time wasting some of the programming is.
I have created a number of "Giving credit where credit is due ... " threads specific to good features, benefits or support ... BUT I also have no issue calling them out on their bad decisions, poor programming, dysfunctional features, etc.
What they should do is set up volunteer accounts with Sellers to try this stuff out and then LISTEN TO THEM when they tell them the pros and cons and fix it accordingly before rolling it out. They call us "Business partners" ... well, when do they start listening to us to avoid this kind of negative situation???

Well, glad you keep on them in a productive way. Hopefully some of your idea find their way to competent workers.
