eBay's system seems to be using visitors' IP addresses to determine visitors' locations. This is a very unreliable method. Every time I visit Ebay to browse listings, my location is shown as Pakistan even though my IP address is clearly based in Texas and I'm physically located in the US.
It is very annoying to have to manually change my eBay shipping location every time that I visit eBay. I have to do this whether I'm logged in or not. I sometimes forget so a lot of listing do not show and shipping prices are always incorrect. This has nothing to do with my profile or account settings. Below is a screen cap of the email I always receive when I login:
Can someone from eBay's IT team contact me so that we can resolve this issue? I do not want to provide my IP or any other identifiable information in this public forum.
