A buyer purchased 3 items on separate listings that I had relisted from listings created before the new listing tool. They were consolidated into a single purchase and eBay charged the buyer $1.62 for shipping. This even though the listings offered only eBay Standard Envelope with free shipping. The only reason I can see that this occurred, is that as seller, I mistakenly had the number of ounces of the three listings exceeding 3 ounces, which was an error on my part as I intended to have one ounce on each item instead of 2, 2 and 1. I did note that there was no shipping mode (such as USPS) selected when I proceeded to purchase shipping, though ESE was buyer-selected. I was able to correct the shipping weight, but it was pretty confusing and the buyer of course overpaid for shipping. It seems that we need to fix for situations when the weight of the total multiple purchase shipments exceed 3 ounces on ESE-qualified listings.
