Won a bid but can not purchase

I won a bid at 11:24am today and i can not pay for the item

It gives me a checkout error

It says that

“This item is not available in the requested quantity. It may have been purchased already, or the listing has expired” 

but i won the listing and the previous page says Congratulations you Won! Please pay now.

Are you following a "Pay now" link on the item listing, and getting that error? Does the "congratulations" message go away if you reload the page?

I have noticed that some sellers are having issues with eBay today -- some listings are not appearing in the correct "sold" or "unsold" category; eBay seems to be having some sitewide checkout issues. Possibly this might be related to that problem, I do not know.

As long as the item appears in your Purchase History then you have been recorded as the winner by eBay. The issues may resolve themselves -- wait a bit and try again.
