It's not something I've ever searched let alone saved. It's been there for months now with no way to clear it. Thanks.

What happens when you delete the search?

Thanks for your reply. When I go to "Saved searches", there is nothing listed to delete.
If I delete all "ebay" cookies and sign in clean, it does not help.

Where does the search show up, then?

On my "home" page.

Odd.
Possibly one of your other saved searches is linked to that search by a similar keyword.

Maybe, but I have no saved searches. Thanks for helping.

eBay tries to provide various suggestions based on things you have searched for or saved, and not all of them are useful. If you do not have any saved searches, it may simply supply a default loosely connected to something else you have previously searched.
You might try adding a saved search for something you would rather see, and perhaps your new search will displace what is currently there.
Or better yet, use a different page as a landing page, and avoid all of eBay's suggestions altogether.

This sounded promising, but has not worked. eBay really wants to sell me a laser gun sight.
