Why do I have to enter the pickup code on every digital item (new policy??)

Is  anyone else having an issue with this? I used to be able to mark as picked up and never had a problem. I sell digital items, so, there's no in person meeting. It's making a ton of extra work for me and for customers. Recently, one of my most frequent buyers complained to me about it. 

I mean, hey eBay, I won't be the only one losing business if they quit buying from me.

Of course, eBay "help" is no help

Every one of your listings is pickup only. That means the buyers will get a code that you need to enter to prove that the item was picked up, it has been that way for more than a few years. 

Do you have permission from eBay to sell digital cards, if not, this question could become moot.

Exceptions to this policy include electronically delivered:

• Tickets 
• Domain names 
• Digital trading cards

The time you save on making your listings should make up for the short time it takes to enter the code.
