When trying to save as draft, just get unending "Saving Draft". Also prob trying to list.

This has been happening randomly for a while, but seems to be getting worse. I try to Save as Draft, and just get unending "Saving Draft". I've waited half an hour sometimes. Of course if I refresh the page, everything I've written and set up resets, so I have to do it over again. And again. If I try to List it, I get the "We looked everywhere. Looks like this page is missing." Then I have to start over again. And again.

I've seen the same problem for weeks and weeks.  What I try to do is keep watching to see if it automatically saves what I'm doing.   If it's not saving then it's not gonna list it.   If you notice that it's not saving your work you can still go ahead and fill in all the information that you want for your description (or for your title) but then go ahead and copy that information so you can paste it into either a text document or spreadsheet (whatever you have open) so that you don't lose everything that you just got done typing.

Then you can 'Save as a draft' and it will start the spinning wheel which can go on forever, but you don't need to wait half an hour or even a couple of minutes.   Open up another window (or have one already open) and look at seller hub or my eBay and you should see a link somewhere in there to 'Drafts.'   Click on 'Drafts' and if it's there (and for me it always is), you can go ahead and close that other window even though it's going to give you a warning about losing all the information.   It's faster than what you're going through.

In my experience, once it's been saved as a draft then you can go ahead and enter whatever information (copy & paste from your text document) you want and it will work like it supposed to.

It's still frustrating, it's just not as frustrating as what's happening with you.

Maybe someone else has a better fix to add to this discussion.  Anybody?

Thank you for the suggestion. I'll give that a shot. Would be nicer if ebay paid attention to these boards and actually fixed things instead of making us figure out workarounds though.

I can't tell you how many times this has happened to me lately and I am SO over it. I just spent a decent amount of time working on a draft where basically nothing was saved. I have to pretty much start over. Such a waste of my time and I'm sick of it.

Hi, It's happening to me too. But As as mentioned above I can just open a new window and find the listing in my drafts as normal. Then I just close the original window.

This happens to me ALL the time! It is so frustrating! 😞  I have resorted to copying my text into a document in a separate window.

It's happening to me too.  When I open a new window and go to drafts, the old listing is there because I click sell similar to create another listing.

Happened to me twice today again!!!!!! Trouble is, it works fine sometimes so just when I quit worrying about it, there it goes again! I have resorted to doing pretty much the same as some of you - bring up ebay on another tab then copy and paste (that's if I suspect it will or is happening). Course it takes that first time to realize it's happening again - huge waste of time.  I am going to call e-bay and complain, really, really tired of it!!!! 😡😠🙄😁

You aren't the only one.  It's unacceptable in my opinion that they haven't found the cause of this problem and fixed it.  It's been happening for years.  If you don't save a draft immediately, it will just hang on the spinning circle and you lose everything you did.  It happened again to me a few minutes ago, lost 20 minutes of work.

I found that clicking Preview  (at the bottom) forced a save, which can then be resumed. But also once it has saved itself successfully then using Save as Draft completed as normal.
Agree terrible that this exists as have lost lots of time with this bug.

Potential Recovery Method (Chrome Browser)

If get the endless spinning saving or posting message:

Right click on the open tab at top of browser and select "Duplicate".

For me this restored the page with all the information I had just typed in including uploaded images.

I then saved a draft to secure it, then went back in and posted the listing.

note: I had to leave work so left it spinning all night - so when posted it was many hours after the initial glitch. But at least I did not lose any of my work!!

Wow that worked -- I had to retype my whole description then clicked Preview, and it Previewed correctly -- then went into list and it worked -- thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just ran into this again.  Incredible that this has been going on for over a year now, and eBay hasn't fixed it.  I just wasted another hour of my time crafting a fantastic listing (to maximize fees for them), and their incompetent software lost all my work.  When I went to save the listing, or preview it, it would flash the page for a moment, then return me to same page... no error message anywhere to be found.  Then when I hit Save Draft I got the "Saving draft" spinner and it just sat there spinning for 3+ hours now.  If I open my account on in another browser and go to the draft listing, it's a super early version, with almost none of my work saved. If I duplicate the tab as suggested above, it brings up a totally blank listing form. Incredibly frustrating.  

eBay, are you paying attention?
