Last week, I could relist items and within a few minutes they would show up on general search results in their respective categories. That meant anyone on eBay could find my items soon after I listed or relisted them.
The past 48 hours, I'm not finding my relisted items in general searches right away. I'm approaching 24 hours now without my items showing up on any general searches. Just on my eBay Store. Over a dozen items somewhere in eBay's limbo. Ebay calls this delay "indexing." I don't really understand it, since this is a new problem. The Customer Service Reps didn't provide a concrete answer to account for why the severe relisting delays are happening NOW.
I've been an eBay member since 2005, and only one other time has this "indexing" delayed the appearance of my listings. Is anyone else having this problem or being fed the line "indexing?" I'd like my customers to see items soon after I list them, not days after.
It's easier to sell items, make money and generate fee income for eBay through said sales, IF ONLY CUSTOMERS COULD FIND THOSE ITEMS, right?

Oh and indexing is how collect all that info of them item specific, title etc so folks can search fer the thing they want to purchase.. they have been playing with it for a time it seems.

If I do a general search with just "9.8" in the category of Comics and Graphic Novels, Buy It Now, and then look for "Newly Listed," I cannot find over 100 listings I've put up since yesterday. Also, my eBay Store doesn't list my items in chronological order when I try and view "Newly Listed."

I'm having the very same problem. My newly listed and relisted items do not show up in a general search of the category. They do show up searching the title. Over 48 hours for me with no views on these items! I had ebay call me, but what they said was the problem, did not change things after I made the changes. I have been selling on ebay since 2000, selling and buying to advance my hobby. I never ran into this problem before. Did you get your situation resolved?

My newly listed and relisted items do not show up in a general search of the category. They do show up searching the title.
What item, and how are you searching? There are many reasons why a particular item might not show up in a search.
The way that relisted items sort by date has changed recently -- depending on exactly how the item is relisted, the date used may be the date of the original listing, so the item may be appearing, just not in the spot in a newly listed sort that you think it should be.
See here:
Over 48 hours for me with no views on these items!
Note that eBay has also recently changed the way that views are counted and over what time frame they are counted. This is not related to actual sales, as buyers cannot see your view numbers.
Some info about recent changes to the way views are displayed can be found here:

Afraid this isn't helpful, but I started having this problem several weeks ago. I went through 17 pages on the pc of some items and never found mine for sale. This week I have an item that has a 'watcher' but has no 'views'. Not sure how that works. My sales have dropped but the number of bids on each item are totally toast. I have had to start pricing items at what I want, and not a little lower. I'm lucky to get one bid now. My James Avery items used to have a dozen bidders, now I'm lucky to get one. I've had to relist some of the items. I don't know what is going on, but I'm wearing myself out posting stuff with no activity. Hope something changes soon.

Here is my solution. It takes a little time, but works.
# 1 Select the items you want to list.
# 2 Select similiar
#3 Delete the first letter or a least one character in the title
#4 Hit list
#5 Go back and delete the one's you have relisted
# Go back to the new listings and add deleted character back into title.
All will be good except for the extra work.

This makes a weird sort of sense. I'll try it. Thanks.
