Unable to link PayPal to Account.

I'm trying to make a bid for an item, but I receive an error that the seller only accepts PayPal so I cannot make a bid. When I try to link my already created PayPal account, the "Link my PayPal account" button takes me to a new PayPal page that only lets me create an account, and not sign in to an existing account.  As such I'm unable to make the purchase. Am I missing something?

To clarify, my account already exists, I have it under Financial Information, but under PayPal account, I cannot link the account.

I'm having the same problem.  From the forums I've found this isn't a new issue.  I'm also unable to bid on an item due to this issue.  I cannot find a solution that works.  Maybe eBay will fix this when enough bidders complain.  I contacted the person selling the item and informed them of the issue but no resolution.
