When I try to delete certain messages from my inbox I get an error : Oops. Something went wrong. Please try again later.
Have tried at different times and still same error. Some messages from eBay and some from buyers / sellers so not just a single source. Very frustrating as I like to keep my inbox tidy. Any ideas or suggestions?

@eburtonlab that worked - still can't delete them but I'll leave them in the folder. Such a shame eBay as a tech company can't master the basics of reliably deleting messages.
Thanks for your response, it is appreciated!

One suggestion I have heard is to create a new folder, move the pesky message into the folder, and then delete the folder.

MY issue is not being able to use the "all" and getting the system to delete. I get the same "Oops" message as the OP. I can then delete individually up to the last 2.
This has been going on for some time and it's a shame they won't fix it.

Have you tried selecting "all" and then instead of deleting, choose "move to folder"? Then just go ahead and delete the folder if you want, or continue to use that folder as a secondary trash.
Might be easier than deleting each message one at a time.

You cannot select ALL or sometimes even in dividually to delete in either the Sent or Move them to Recycle as the OOPS message constantly appears - for nearly 6 YEARS now!
Typical Cash Cow Billion Dollar Company that does not improve the site to the benefit of users from 1 decade to the next - only happy to **bleep** up for profits and give nothing in return. By the amount of **bleep** on the site now - I get a different screen version every time I press a My item/Selling or any other button and the list of items I can actually see on any 1 page ranges from 20 items to just 2!!!!
Dont think they emply 1 single programmers on site and talk about feedback to improve the site - what a friggen joke.
Total and utter sh1te!

I notice you are registered in the UK, but posting on the US community boards. You might want to sign out of ebay.com and sign in to ebay.co.uk instead, and make sure that any eBay bookmarks you are using are for the appropriate site. If the problem continues on ebay.co.uk, you may want to post to the UK community boards, as there may be more information available there concerning your issue.

it's the USA too
I just tried deleting messages & keep getting the same error no matter how little or lot i try to delete at once.
I never had a problem deleting messages before.
As someone said this is a simple thing that shouldn't be a problem
& I would think Ebay would want people to delete things
so it's not clogging up areas.
like the OP I like to keep it tidy. lol that was cute.
but they don't even have a working delete button
crazy

that worked deleting the whole folder
after moving them into the folder.
my folder name was "delete" so it was easy to find

Yes, That worked. Moved messages to my folder 1 and then trashed the folder. Thanks

This is still 100% broken on all browsers as of 11/6/19. I guess they just don't give a **bleep**...
