My friend tried to place an order on eBay recently under his eBay account, but the system would not let him login for some reason. So he placed the order as a guest, and specified his regular email address (which is the same address on hist eBay account).
He received on eBay order Confirmation email message and subsequent messages from eBay, with links to check the status of the order. But when he click those links, they bring him to an eBay login screen -- even though he placed the order as a guest. And when he tries to login on those login screens, the screen simply says "Please provide another email address".
So I'm attempting to resolve this on his behalf. I do not see any way to contact eBay Support to resolve the issue. And since the eBay login screen doesn't seem to permit his email address, he's stuck.
Any ideas how to pursue a resolution to this Catch-22?
