Was just trying to list a toy and before submitting my listing, it showed $1 fee to list the item. I did not use the "Stand out with a bold title in search" option and have a store and if I had a fee for going over the number of monthly listings, it would only be $0.25. I saved the listing as a draft and tried to complete it to see if the $1 fee would be dropped. It still shows $1 to list the item. Is there a glitch?

Just figured it - eBay automatically had the "Gallery Plus" checked - had to uncheck the box!

I have complained for years about the involuntary checking of that box.

Gallery Plus is free in some categories. If you use SELL SIMILAR and then change the category, the GP box will be checked. All of my items are listed in a Collectibles category/subcategory, so GP is free for me. However, sometimes I list in Toys > Dolls & Bears and for that I have to remember to uncheck the box.

In the future if you go to the accounts tab and then select seller account this will pull up the actual accounts page fore seller fee's. On this page the fee's tab will help you to see what fee's you are being charged and the listings those fee's are for.
When these listing upgrades get selected they will be enabled on each new listing you create as part of the prefill till you uncheck the upgrade on a new listing.
When listing even if you are using free listings it is very important you look at the bottom of the listing page at the cost for that listing. The cost is a good indicator that a listing upgrade has been selected. As if the cost is above zero or the normal insertion fee it will tell you that you need to review the listing to see what upgrades were selected.

Glad you found it! In the future (in case you didn't know) here's a timesaver... you can click on the blue 'fee amount' and a little bubble pops up to tell you what the fee is for.
