I purchased a label through Pirateship on 6/7, and item was delivered 6/10. For whatever reason, the tracking number didn't upload to eBay. Buyer opened an item not received case on 6/14. When I tried to upload the tracking number, I get an error message that says, "! tracking number is already used by a different seller." Um, what? I messaged the buyer with the tracking number, but cannot defend my case without that tracking number.
But wait! It get's worse! Now the buyer opened a payment dispute with their credit card company. I cannot respond to the case AT ALL without first providing a tracking number. Same issue when try to provide it: "tracking number is already used by a different seller. So I can't defend myself or provide all the documentation I have for this tracking number. I have a copy of the actual label, Pirateship receipts that show delivery, as well as USPS tracking that shows delivery. Customer service wasn't really helpful, just told me to message the buyer and tell her to check the post office. Ebay for business is aware of the issue, but there is no resolution yet.
So if you use Pirateship, check to see if your tracking number uploaded to Ebay (it seems to be happening sporadically), and hope your buyers don't open cases which you won't be able to defend. This also affects seller metrics if there is no tracking number. Does anyone know what's going on, or when this will be fixed?
