Recently i purchased something thru a website for a good deal, paid thru paypal, got a tracking number from the seller. The day of arrival, my phone beeped and said package was delivered. Checked mailbox, driveway and front of the house. What the scammer did was send a empty envelope to someone on the opposite side of my town with tracking number attached. how i knew this? (post office and it was a family member with a different name) envelope was empty. just addressed and tracking number attached,. opened a claim thru Paypal, they sided with the scammer, Tracking number provided and delivered. Friend in the Post office used their database. and got me a copy of the Product Tracking &Reporting sheet. It contains a wealth of information that you cant get by tracking the number online. He showed how the scam worked, In the report it shows where he changed the Name and address to a random person in your town, he said the post office cannot change this, the sender can only enter this, then on his computer he pulls up a image of the Letter that was mailed with the tracking number attached and he also showed me the weight of the letter and told me , its empty. with this information i contacted paypal (2 hr wait on the phone) transmitted the information to paypal . closed case was reopened and a freeze was put on all the scammers accounts. I know what to look for now and have been searching the web finding all his scam listings and contacting the hosts and he's being taking down... Hope this helps anyone who reads this... Dont let the Scammers win.... Fight back. when you do it benefits us all... sellers and buyers
