I noticed last night that the items I had listed for the last few days all were set to ship through the global shipping program. While I am enrolled with the program that is just so I can sell items internationally. I only ship to a few different countries as I do not want to worry about items being lost or damaged and having to deal with costly returns. Normally I just select the countries I am willing to ship too.
The option to Sell internationally with the Global Shipping Program is being checked on all new listings by default. Plus when I uncheck it instead of unchecking the option on future listings I create it is staying checked. Sellers who do not want this option enabled in some or all of their listings should check to see if they are experiencing this issue.
In the seller hub if you go to manage listings ebay has a search to see if this is enabled on your listings. You will see All categories and bellow that there will be a drop down with global shipping program in the drop down. You can select to search for listings with this enable or not enabled.
Then if it is you can edit the listings that populate from this search using the bulk editor. There is a option that says international shipping. After you select that there is a option to remove the global shipping program from those listings.

So this option was being turned on as part of the prefill when creating listings from scratch, from the sell tab in current listings, and from the sell similar option in listings. This is some of the prefill that gets filled out based on the last item you listed. So for example if you list a new item the next listing you create will be set to new. If you set the shipping service for USPS first class package then the next listing will be set to that option till you change it. This was also happening using edge and chrome. No matter how many times I unchecked this option when I started a new listing it would be selected.
This started a few days ago after I enabled global shipping in a listing for a buyer in Ireland. While I did not remember to change the option till I noticed it was enabled on all the items I listed since then the new listings should have turned it off. I called support and the out sourced rep in another country that never uses ebay to buy and sell kept insisting this is a site preference issue and I need to opt out of global shipping. However if I did this then I could not sell items internationally. Plus while I mainly ship to the few countries that I can purchase and print a international label with out using the global shipping program to save my buyer money from not having to pay additional shipping charges to get the item shipped to the ebay center just to have a international shipping label placed on the box I do use it from time to time and opting out would still cause issues. I had to stress to her over and over this is not normal and a recent change. Finally she got permission to report the issue to the tech department and after several attempts to get her to explain it correctly the call was ended.
I since then listed a few more items and still had the issue. Then I got to a item that was similar to a item I sold about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I pull up the old sold item and click the sell now button and start to create a new listing based off of that items information and the global shipping program option is no longer checked. I the list the item and use the sell button on its page and the global shipping program in not checked any more on new listings. It is unclear if someone higher up read the report and fixed the issue but since this is Saturday night I doubt it. I have a feeling that the older listing from before this started happening was able to change the default back to the way it normally is with the option no longer being selected by default. If you are having similar issues with this option being selected by default and not changing or other options as well. Perhaps going back through your sold listings and using a item sold 2 to 3 weeks ago with the options you normally would use will help fix the issue.

This problem has started to happen again and has been occurring intermittently over the past few days. Please look into the issue and get it fix. Please give sellers a site preference option to turn the pre fill off so your site will not apply changes to listings they do not want!!!!!!!
@ebay get to **bleep** work
