I sell clothing. I was relisting a ladies pair of ski pants. When I tried to submit the item I received this message. "There seems to be a problem with this listing. When ebay manages payments we currently can't support certain Items". Yesterday evening, I received a call back from ebay. After 40 minutes of this customer service rep trying to find out what the problem was, I was told that a ticket would be issued for the problem. I think we all know what that means.
I decided to try again this morning. I received a call back fro someone from managed payments. Another 40 minutes of this rep saying things like "this is weird", "this doesn't make sense", I have never seen this". This is a clothing item and not restricted by MP. I have been promised a call back in 24 hours. I know that will not happen. Everyday it's another thing !!

I received the same message when trying to relist a neck gator made of fleece. I said Screw it. not worth the hassle of trying to figure it out for a $20.00 sale.

I had the same msg for a pair of carhartt overalls.

Try spelling it as "gaiter." Maybe the bots thought you were trying to sell something made out of an alligator.

Seems to be an ongoing problem. Some fool has an area marked wrong for Managed Pay.

Here's a thought.......E-bay excels at handing out transaction defects effecting sellers for every petty reason imaginable, treating them like grade school children.
How about we turn the tables and start grading their performance. What do you think that would be......Above Average???.......Below Standard???
Let's hear it!

Lately I would go with "Consistently Hassling the Seller" . I have been selling on eBay for over 20 years, I really haven't changed what or how I sell a whole lot, they just keep messing with me! Mismanaged Payments is more like it, I want PayPal back!!

I am having the exact same issue with Girl's and Women's Skating Dresses, so these cats:
Sporting Goods > Winter Sports > Ice Skating > Skating Dresses-Women
Sporting Goods > Winter Sports > Ice Skating > Skating Dresses-Girls
Maybe it's all of Winter Sports?
So glad I found a buddy! We can't relist or revise. I'm about to find out if my almost 500 already listed dresses are going to fail auto GTC relist. We only have ~2,000 dresses to sell, so no biggie for us!

I should also add I tried in an account that we don't use, that's still under paypal, and there was no problem listing into these categories.
Add all this to the now hundreds of notifications a day I'm stepping through to 'fix' my item specifics.
So happy for all the new things I'm learning and new Ebay support people I get to talk to. Singing in the rain ...

Update. No Return phone call as I expected. I still can't list ski pants because of Managed payments

I had the same problem and was also told they were working on a fix. It has to do with Sporting Goods category.
I put it in another category and it solved the issue.

So far three topics about this across the boards including one in the managed pay board.
seems it is in winter sports that is producing this so far. or any thing past that.
Sporting Goods > Winter Sports
