I've seen this message for three days now and I click "Skip for now". It shows every time I login. How do I skip it forever?
I don't want this. It will just make me click more than I already am. You already ask me to go through 5 prompts sometimes. Why would I want to just add more of a hassle to my login process which I do multiple times a day with multiple accounts? How many times do I have to click "skip for now"? I've already tried your simplified login process. It's worse than clicking skip for now. There is nothing simple about it.

I do not know how to skip that message when signing in, but there may be other things you can do to avoid signing in and out so much.
If you control access to your machine and you are not concerned about security, you might consider staying signed in to each account in a different browser (or a separate private or incognito browser window). You can be signed in to multiple eBay accounts at the same time that way. Switching to a different account is a matter of switching to a different browser or browser window.

I work the old fashioned way, and have all the pages I normally work on, Sellers Hub, Active Selling, Feedback, etc book marked, old fashioned style. There always seems to be something else someone in the Ebay heirarcy ( All Hail Ebay ) wants to call attention to. Could be their latest data gathering scenario. I am pretty sure there are temporary help reading all these notes , as very few things ever get fixed.
And If I worked for Ebay, why would I want things to get fixed,,,, that would mean I am to be out of a job.

I really appreciate the question, because I wondered if it really WOULD simplify the sign-in process. Of course, I should have known that 'simplify your sign-in process' is actually code for 'make it even more difficult and long-winded to sign in'. Thanks for the tips on how to get rid of this annoying prompt.

I can no longer sign into my eBay account because of this prompt. Today is the first day I am seeing it, and it has put me in a loop. When I try and save anything to my watchlist, I am prompted to sign in, then I get the "simplify" screen. When I click "skip for now", it puts me back at the password prompt. It's a loop I cannot get out of. I'm very frustrated...
*UPDATE* It looks like the loop is just a Chrome thing, I am able to skip it successfully without the loop issue in Firefox.

Try manually erasing just your eBay cookies in Chrome and see if that allows you to sign in again.

I'm getting the annoying "Simplify your sign-in" that asks if I want to use Windows Hello (my Desktop does not have a camera to sign in with my "face" or fingerprint reader) ...
Can't believe I have to skip this over and over again.
It went away for a while but its back...

I use Firefox and have the same issue with ebay. Every time I sign in I get the simplify sign in garbage and have to click skip for now. Whether I clear my cache and cookies or not I still get it. I can sign in right now, get the simplify sign in thing, click skip for now, then after I'm signed in I can sign out again, go to sign in, and get the same simplify sign in message.

Hello -
Since you're using Firefox open about:config, search for security.webauth.webauthn and set it to false (double click). This disables the passkey integration with windows hello and the annoying prompt. Be mindful this will disable ALL passkey/hello integration with Firefox.
Still searching for a similar fix for Chrome/Edge/Brave browsers (all chromium based).
One other option is the Opera browser. I have been using it almost exclusively for eBay.
GOOD LUCK and TAKE CARE!

OMG!!! Thank-you so much!!!.
HELL'S BELL'S...
This has been driving me MAD!!!!
I switch back and forth between 3 eBay accounts and every.....single......time......
1st I was getting the eBay security prompt to set up the Windows Hello, to set up pin, face, fingerprint.
I use a laptop sitting on my desk at home. I don't use face recognition or fingerprint to sign in to eBay!! Do they think that the whole world has is operating on a phone?
(It seems every interface has changed to swipe and scroll actions and has eliminated keyboard inputs. But that's a whole 'nother gripe. AND.... Just yesterday... I was wondering if there was a way to setup a virtual number where I could send all the FREAKIN pin authorization text messages that go to my phone!! Again, a 'nother gripe.)
2nd I was getting the Windows Security request sent from Firefox on top of the other.
I was just getting ready to contact eBay beause I thought there was an eBay setting I could change, when I thought I should check here.
Thank-you, Thank-you, Thank-you. xxthebeastxx Firefox ABOUT:CONFIG fixed it. I don't care that it disables ALL passkey/hello integration with Firefox.
