This is a problem for me as a buyer of multiple items won by auction from the same seller. The seller charges $1.00 shipping for all items paid for in a combined sale. If the seller sends an invoice and then I win more items, when I go to pay I do NOT get a combined sale of all the items in the shopping cart. Instead, there is an order for the invoiced items and a 2nd order for the additional items with a $2.00 shipping charge, $1.00 for each order. Even though I only make one payment, eBay is making additional money on the fees on shipping charges by NOT including all the items in a new, updated combined invoice with a single order number. At present, according to the seller, the only way to fix this "glitch" is to ask the seller to send me an updated invoice for all my purchases.

When I contacted the seller, I received this reply:
"This is an eBay checkout issue, not anything to do with us the sellers. We see this occasionally. (more later than every)
If you see more than $1, click on the "request total from seller" button. We will invoice.
It's much more hassle trying to refund a buck from eBay's new non-friendly system. It was much easier with PP."
The seller refunded $1.00 shipping spread out across all the items with a small refund for each item. Now the Seller hub bell shows two items (one from each "order") are Pay Now. Another eBay glitch? Hopefully I won't get "dinged" for non-payment of paid for items.

Hmmm, there could be a few different things going on @somanypostcards. For example, if the seller offers different shipping methods in their listings, then they can't all be combined and would need to be separated out. If it's just a matter of them sending an new invoice, to include the additional items you want to purchase, then they should be able to do so.
Ultimately though, any combined shipping issues would be on the sellers end and not yours as the buyer. If these suggestions don't help, then you may want to contact Customer Support where they can take a closer look at your account and get into specifics with you. 😊
