On Windows, qty 3 is rated for First Class, but should be Priority Mail. The item is too heavy to combine under First class so it just triples the rate. It is quoted properly for 7.96 PM on the shipping tab ("see details" link) but is not sorted.
On MS Edge in the cart checkout, shipping is $12.51 FC, and $21.20 PM.
Customer says he can't see the PM rate.
All of this is discouraging sales.

You should tell your customer to request a invoice. Then you can package the items and send a invoice with the true cost of shipping based off of the dimensions of the box, weight and shipping service.

Thanks, I'm aware, I forgot about that option. But he has to place the order first. And the send offer feature doesn't allow adjusting shipping. Yet another sales barrier.

On that listing, if I go to the shipping page and use 3 quantity, I get this:
If I go to the cart, on the first page I get only the first class option, but if I continue to check out, I get this: (may be the buyer never went to the checkout page?)
brian@ebay looks like the item page is correct? why the change when going to checkout?

That matches what I saw. The item page should present the lowest shipping first. Also, if you scroll up on the item page, it will have the higher First Class rate shown under shipping.

Hi @dhbookds, the discount for Priority Mail does show on this page, but only after the buyer selects the Priority option. The discounted shipping rate will appear on the right side of the screen. While this is working as designed, the Community Team has passed along feedback that the way combined shipping discounts are displayed could be improved on the checkout screen.

What I'm questioning is the difference in priority price
listing page $8.69
Check out 22.82
I must be missing something...........

@dhbookds, sorry I missed that! I'm seeing the same thing when I try it out. That does seem like it may be a site issue, so I'll get it reported to our tech team. Thanks!
Edit: Sorry to keep tagging you @dhbookds. I was looking at the wrong shipping service with my last reply (the strike out portion of this post) so please disregard it. The discounted Priority price will appear on the right side of the checkout screen after a buyer selects it. The discounted amount will also be displayed just below the shipping options on the checkout page. I've included screenshots to show how this works.
What price is displayed after you click on the Priority option in checkout?
This is the expected experience in this situation, though the Community team has let the right team know that is can be improved.

Ok, I see what I did, thanks, never clicked on the priority as it was not "intuitive" to me that priority would be less than what was stated or less than first class........
WHEW.........to me, this process stinks.....priority should be available or at least seen on the lst checkout page......at the rate that is shown in the listing..... and the choice should be between the ACTUAL rates on the 2nd page.......
I hope that's what you are telling the team......... the $22 actually looks like an up charge..........
thanks for helping me understand

@dhbookds I agree that it would be a better experience for the discounted price to appear in checkout before a buyer clicks on the discounted service. Currently it isn't very intuitive, as you've said. What you've brought up here is the feedback we've sent to the team 🙂
