Just a quick heads up of an issue I have just encountered inserting a tracking number. I have just sold an item and posted it by Royal Mail. I then entered the incorrect tracking number. I then tried to recify this by editing it. But for some reason, there is no edit option anymore. In fact the tracking details in the order appear as "--" only. So, I add the, this time correct tracking number, by clicking on the 'Add Tracking' button. However, I then get the error "Unknown error occurred while updating tracking. Please try again".
So, I try on my phone using the eBay app. Same error. I try again in Google Chrome using incognito mode. Same error. I try in Microsoft Edge. Same error.
I contacted eBay, but they can't do anything because they are unaware of the error. They also refuse to input the tracking number on my behalf.
So, that leaves (a large amount) of funds in my account that I will not be able to get access to. Because of course, the item has to be confirmed as delivered and I can't do that if I can't add a tracking number.
