Searching for an item in item description is not working?

The item is in the description of the listing but can not be searched?

eBay item number: 203340696534

This is happening to several listing.

I have seen other similar reports lately.

Earlier last week there were problems reported particularly with searches of sold or completed items when the search terms contained a mix of alpha and numeric characters. See here:

It appears that there may be similar problems when searching inside the description as well.

Try using different variations of your keyword to search.

I do see some results when searching using i1277 instead of the full term:

That only works sometimes. It does not work for newly created listings.

Searches that were not working earlier for me seem to be working now. It appears that eBay has made some changes.

If you are still having problems with those searches, try signing out of eBay and signing back in to see if that makes a difference.
