The search feature is almost not helping to find anything. I would suggest Ebay really to update this feature.

When you search, you just getting the same result on the same listings page by page by page....

Show listing only once when you search for stuff, if you show it more than once, you are wasting my time.

This applies both to the webbrowser and ebay app.

Update?  They did update and ever since they did it's been a mess. ESPECIALLY in eBay Motors.

To avoid seeing the same results every day you can try searching using the Advanced Search page to select only items that were started in the last day or so:

Bookmark or save the search to see the new results again the next day or however often you prefer to search.

Items are shown twice if Promoted. Once for the 'promoted' (sponsored) and once 'organically'. 

Some sellers can list the exact same thing with 1 slight variation in the title- hence the 'numerous same things' but there is nothing a search can do about it because technically, it is a 'different' item.
