Can't help much with that little info.
Can you give us some specifics? What device are you using? What are you searching for? What search order are you using?
If you are just ranting, ignore the above.

Search for "1CH164-306", total 60 unrelated items show up. Only some of them have it in the title.
Please clarify.

If a search that has worked well previously suddenly starts behaving badly, often the problem has something to do with a faulty keyword substitution or an inappropriate automatic category navigation issue.
You can bypass many of these sorts of search issues by putting one of your keywords in quotes. This forces eBay to bypass the "smart" features and to search for the literal keywords without any substitution or category switching. You may have to manually specify your category once again.

Using a desktop browser, find the "Feedback" icon that appears in the lower right corner of the search results page to let eBay page developers know about your search issues.

I tried that search without the quotes. I got 116 results, most of which were for a Seagate 2TB SATA hard drive. Few, if any, had the search word in the title.
Then I tried the search with the word in quotes. Got 10 results, all with the word in the title. Funny thing is that every result was a Seagate 2TB SATA hard drive.
It seems ebay search is smarter than we are as it recognized the search word as a Seagate part number and then searched accordingly.

It is strange, never happened before.

The exact behavior depends on the particular keywords, and the substitute keywords linked to those keywords by eBay. From time to time those substitute keywords can change -- sometimes for the better, but sometimes not.
