TODAY I HAD TO GO INTO MY SAVED SEARCHES AND UNSUBSCRIBE FROM EMAIL ALERTS.
I have many saved and VERY specific searches in my Saved Searches section on my account so I get an email if item I am interested in gets listed. The last two days I have been bombarded by saved search hits that are INACCURATE and show different results than I saved. For instance, the saved search hit may be for the brand I am interested in, but all the specific identifiers such as size, color, model number, etc. are completely ignored. When I click on the link I see hits for hundreds of items that are not in my range of interest. I have gotten approximately 15 erroneous emails the last two days. ANNOYING. Who is running the show at eBay anymore?

In addition to temporarily stopping email alerts for the searches affected, you may want to consider creating a new search with one of your search keywords enclosed in quotes in order to bypass the faulty keyword substitution feature which seems to be producing the irrelevant results.
Use the "Feedback" link on the search results page to alert eBay to the problem with a particular search. The more users report issues directly to eBay that way, the more likely eBay is to do something about the problem.
