Been trying to list a small item all morning. Gets to verify identity and spins indefinitely. Talked to support twice and they have given inconsistent answers and have no clue. Cant believe a company making this much money on fees is this incompetent. I'll sell thru some other service

On 2/28, eBay had a big glitch session but that seems to have been fixed as of yesterday. I am wondering if you might have a corrupt cookie on your device. See if clearing your cookies/cache and logging back into the site helps, your listing should be saved in your drafts so you should not have to re-make your listing.
Are you on a PC or using the mobile app?

I’ve been trying using 2 laptop browsers, an iPad and an iPhone. Same problem on all. I’m not willing to wipe out all my history, cache, and cookies so that I have to renter all my Pwds etc to all my apps.... just to accommodate eBays problems. If eBay can’t keep their systems running with the money they bring in with exorbitant fees I’d rather just use other selling services. Many may find my position unreasonable but it’s a PITA to clear everything out from my browsers.
Thanks for the time you spent making the suggestion. Appreciate it

Disabling ad blockers, pop-up blockers, script blockers or other privacy tools on the sign-in or verification page can help; many of those have settings that can interfere with verification. You may be able to turn them back on once you have signed in and updated your eBay cookies.
If you are using Firefox, try disabling Enhanced Tracking Protection on eBay using the shield icon to the left of the page address.
If you are able to sign in using a private or incognito browser window, that might indicate a problem with a corrupt or blocked cookie. Try erasing just your eBay cookies manually in that case.
If you are routinely clearing all your cookies, you will likely have to go through verification again each time you sign in.
Or try a different browser -- preferably the latest version of a popular browser that you do not normally use and one that has no add-ons or extensions installed.

I’m not willing to wipe out all my history, cache, and cookies so that I have to renter all my Pwds etc to all my apps.
Should not be necessary; trying another browser or a private or incognito browser window as a test should help you to figure if other steps are called for.
Deleting history is rarely necessary; deleting your browser cache just means that the next time to you go to a page you get all the data from the site rather than a local copy.
If it is necessary to delete cookies in a particular browser, you can do that individually, or search for all eBay cookies and just delete those -- no need to wipe out all your cookies for all your other sites.

Decided to try deleting cookies and Cache on one browser... MS Edge... Still cannot post selling listing. When I hit "list" it goes to grayed out security screen and spins indefinitely. Not going to bother to do this on other browsers and devices. Too much time wasted on this... Done with ebay selling for the time being.
Thanks again for trying to help.

All of your feedback received as a seller is over a year old, so ebay cnsiders you a new seller. With that comes listing limits and Paypal holds.
In order to sell on ebay, have you completed the following?
Opened a Paypal account and registered a credit/debit card with them as well as a checking account?
Linked your ebay account with your Paypal account?
Specified an automatic method of paying your seller fees?
