Ripped off by Ebay

I have tried numerous times to pay with a Ebay gift card and it keeps rejecting it. My balance is $70.00 and Ebay won't let me me complete my purchase with the card. My daughter who gave me the card tried and even had a chat with an Ebay rep. My son also has a 50 dollar card he can't use either. Ebay are crooks that steal your money for the gift card and then make it impossible to use it. DO NOT BUY EBAY GIFT CARDS! Total Ripoff!

Did you use your gift card through PayPal?

Just found this...

In order to use an eBay gift card you must select PayPal as your payment option.

You won't be able to use a gift card using your on file debit card or bank acct.

Look carefully for the check boxes to select PayPal for payment and either type in your gift card number or check the available box for it prior to Checkout.
