I have 4 returns currently open and all of them say waiting to be shipped. I called eBay to close one that had exceeded the time allotted for the return. We then noticed that all 4 of them had actually been delivered several days ago but none of them had ever updated to shipped or delivered. Must be a glitch! But if you are like me and get your returns delivered somewhere other than your home, you may want to go check!

Wow, that is very troubling indeed ! Did you use an eBay generated label? And if so, did the buyer use your label? They issue First Class for under 1lb and Priority for over. Always USPS even if you shipped out by another method. In either case if you use USPS Informed Delivery you may be able to detect returns shipped even if eBay does not show them. I have found them in Informed Delivery.

Same thing happened to me. Deadline passed for buyer to ship the item back, called eBay. Rep closed the case and a day or 2 later I found it on my porch. Buyer called eBay, they gave a full refund and charged me with a defect. I appealed and they wouldn't remove it

Yes this is a glitch.. For buyers this is what I have been telling them:
There has been a glitch in the system and the ebay label tracking is not automatically uploading like it should.
Contact your seller to let them know you shipped and have them check for the package.
Go to the return request and enter your tracking #. A refund should then be issued about 48 business hours after tracking shows delivery to the seller.
Select the shipping carrier from the dropdown list.
Enter the tracking number.
Select Mark as sent
If that doesn't work for you then contact CS, select call us from the bottom of this page:
