Return Help

I ordered a router base plate that does not fit the router that is stated specifically by the seller. I started the return process and was sent a request to pay for the return. Ebay policy is that if I change my mind, then I pay for the return, which is reasonable, but, in the case where the item does not fit the intended function, the Seller is required to pay for the return.

For some reason, the item no longer appears on Ebay's pages, and doesn't show up on my purchase history page, but I have received e-mail about this specific item's transaction.

The Help system is not useable and is intended to run the customer in circles until they give up. How does Ebay expect to keep customer's with this extremely poor level of customer support?

Item is now shown at bottom of 'purchases' since a 'return' was started. You did not chose the correct reason for the return so a return label will not be supplied- you will have to pay for the return shipping.

Return Help

If the item is not useful to the advertised purpose then it is being fraudulently presented and the responsibility lies with the seller. It is the sellers responsibility to be aware of the properties of the items that he offers. If I had simply decided that I did not want the item due to not fault of the seller or of the item itself, then I should be liable for the costs of the return, but, in this case, I purchased the item with the expectation that it would full-fill the purpose that was advertised. It did not.

I made this abundantly clear.

If you selected "Does Not Fit" by mistake, instead of correctly selecting "Item Not as Described", as the reason for the return, then that is why you are paying for the return instead of the seller.

A good seller might reimburse you, but is not obligated to do so.  Otherwise, you can try contacting ebay to see if they can correct your error.

Again; YOU did NOT choose the correct reason on the return, or you would have been given a 'return' label. You might think and feel all the things you listed in your response, but if you did NOT chose correctly (Not As Described) you will not get a label.
