Hello,
I'm having an issue with the Recent Search Bar; I like to keep it clear so anytime I search and find what I'm looking for (or don't) I hit the "X" and that's that the bar is clear.
However; I have one item today that just won't clear out of the numerous search items I've inputted. I've done everything I could think of (cleared history on the latest version of FireFox) and run CCleaner and neither has worked.
What am I missing?
I would very much appreciate a ELI5 (Explain Like I'm 5) instructions on how to keep my Search Bar Clear and to solve this problem should I encounter it again in the future; I'm simply an idiot when it comes to technology.
Thank you very much!

eBay controls the search suggestions that appear below the search bar.
If using the "x" to erase a past search term is not working, and the "Clear all" option on the Recently Viewed page does not help, then there is not much you can do aside from signing out of your eBay account to prevent those items from appearing when using the search bar.
The search bar on the Advanced Search page works differently, though. There the suggestions come directly from your browser's saved form history. Those can be erased by using the arrow keys to highlight a term and then using the delete key (or shift-delete in some cases).
