My listings are not responding as described in the announcement on Friday. My existing listings are not updated with the size nor is the size removed from the additional IS. My women's activewear pre existing listings have not been changed since the update and are using the old listing form.
Its been 13 days and people should be working 24 hours a day to fix this. My views are down 25% and sales are down 24% which could be more since there is also a problem with seller hub data. None of the other issues in my other posts and reported by others have been fixed or even addressed. In a NIKE GOLF polo shirt in the recommended IS fields and my answers: style: polo/rugby, type: polo; sleeve length: short sleeve in required IS; sleeve type with a list of women's sleeve type like flutter, balloon etc in rec. Almost all the fields in additional do not apply.
Unless you are listing everyday you will not understand how frustrating it is to have the wrong fields or the right fields with the poor drop down menus. You have drilled us to believe these IS are important to buyers finding our items so why isn't this being addressed. If these changes were needed in preparation for the product based shopping experience than say that. Let sellers decide if they want to invest their time thru the change.

OK...here we go again. Just listed another vintage blazer. No problems with listing since if the ebay IS is wrong, I ignore and add in a custom IS. BUT.... and for the first time selling here (2000), I list it and I get my ebay email that it was listed... is now in duplicate. Like I have a duplicate listing. Just happened at 1:07pm Eastern Time today. I checked my summary, my store, and it only shows once. And now, coming here to this thread? We now have a duplicate of this thread...what in the world is going on please?

In response to the issues encountered since Oct. 15th, I have taken to referring my Active items every few days. I am still finding items that have been duplicated; items that have been Active for some time have generated multiple items in Drafts; my shipping location country was actually changed to "Laos" from the US on one item; shipping methods have been changed by the system more than once and continue to change even after being corrected.
My sales are lagging and it is impossible to know whether the system issues are contributing to this or whether I have misguaged the market. Either is possible but, in the wishing category, it would be so nice to know whether it's something I can correct or not.

Hello! I am getting this message from buyers. Is this part of the technical glitches are that are going on? It seems buyers cannot purchase their iterms. I have never seen this happen before:
An error occurred during processing. Please try again.
Return to eBay
At this time, we are unable to process your request. Please contact the seller to activate business card option:

I have tried my desktop, ipad, phone and differnt browsers. I can buy from other sellers, i can log into paypal just fine, and the balance is more than enough to cover my purchase.

I was listing adult magazines. It told me to correct things, I did. I had listed one previously so I went back to change the category but it wouldn't let me. I have one more listing to do, wish me luck!

While you're at it, please fix the darned eBay app:
* When the "send offers to watchers" features first rolled out, it was right there when you open the app, plain as day. Then shortly afterwards, you took that away. So now the ONLY way to send offer to watchers through the app is to TEDIOUSLY scroll through EVERY LISTING until you find one that shows you can send an offer. Then you do and it kicks you ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE BEGINNING. So you then have to scroll through ALL OF YOUR LISTINGS AGAIN to find the next one. Rinse, repeat... so incredibly annoying and unnecessary.
* And when I try to edit a price in the app, I get an error "The Buy It Now Price Must Be Higher Than The Best Offer Price". Yeah, I'm pretty sure $85 is HIGHER than $50. And the same issue when trying to edit the auto-accept best offer price in app. Again, I'm pretty sure $50 is LOWER than $85. But once I get the error, the app refuses to let me edit pricing, no matter what the price. And even though the auto-accept price IS A LOT LOWER than the buy-in now price. Again, very frustrating and annoying.
* When there is a back and forth offer negotiation in the app SHOW ME THE NEGOTIATION HISTORY! Is that so difficult? Why force me to guess what my previous offers / counter-offers were? When I have offers coming in from multiple "buyers", how the hell am I supposed to know what amount I countered with last time? For the love of Christ SHOW ME THAT INFORMATION.
And I could go on and on and on and on about the problems with the app. And problems with the site (regarding the recent blunders AND in general). Doesn't ANY ONE on eBay's programming team actually USE eBay? It seems that there are countless things that are obviously not right and need to be fixed, yet they go unfixed month after month, year after year, no matter how many times feedback and suggestions are left. It's like you don't hear anything the users tell you; things that would actually make the site work better and more efficiently.
Sigh... I really and truly love and appreciate eBay and plan to stick with the platform and grow with the platform. But man, so many little (and big) things just aren't quite up to par.
And finally, Ebay: STOP TRYING TO BE AMAZON!!! You will never be Amazon. Amazon sucks; please stop trying to be them. Ebay has its place and it's a wonderful place. Work to make eBay the best at what eBay does best and stop trying to be what you aren't. By trying to make eBay like Amazon, you are ruining what makes eBay that great place it is.

I was trying to do some "sell similar" listings earlier in eBay Motors (Haynes repair manuals) and kept getting an error suggesting the listings weren't submitting. But when I checked afterwards, they actually did submit.
I was also getting errors where the vehicle make/model/compatibility charts weren't showing up while in the listing screen. So I couldn't change what vehicles a given manual is compatible with.

Where is the "Watchers" count and list?? Another casualty of UNNEEDED seller hub updates that have been thrust upon paying sellers??

My store inventory is 86% clothing. The technical issue that created the drop of size in the item specifics still plagues my store...not one item, except those I've edited since the technical glitch occurred, have the size indicated in the item specifics, which as you know is a required field. My sales have been seriously impacted....15+ days without a clothing sale (with the exception of 1 item just newly listed which included the size as required because I manually entered it) which leads me to believe that my items are not being included in search results due to the lack of size in the required field in the item specifics. Perhaps the size requirement can be temporarily lifted until the technical issue is resolved as to not have such a negative effect on sellers sales. Also consider some kind of reimbursement for the sellers such as myself who have been negatively impacted. Thank you.

It randomly picks which ones are going to have an issue anymore. I just would like my sales back again not sure what is going on but we are coming upon the busy season and this is not the time to be adjusting programs. Why couldn't this be done in January or February is my question or did we really need another update ? Go back to how it was when Ebay first started and yes I was on here at the beginning.

@chadsgirl44 wrote:Ever since the technical issue with Item Specifics occurred whenever I try and bulk edit with a price reduction, almost all of my shoes/boots listing and jean listings will not update unless I individually edit/correct the so called errors: Missing Color, Missing Heel Height, then once these were updated the Size was missing in the required fields. If I did not fix the "errors" then the listings did not accept the pricing changes.
This morning had to go into bulk editing and individually change 86+ items due to the above mentioned "errors".
That seems to be in conflict with the answer I got on wkly chat:

And continuing to have issues with bulk editing...5 errors that required either inputting now required heel size and Dress type. All had the red warning and would not accept my pricing edits until fixed.

I'm having the same issues as others with clothing listings, but came across something else which is a huge concern. I was editing one my listings for a pair of boots. Because it asked me to fill in a new item specific, I happened to glance at the other details. There was one for activity listed as Boxing. I am 99% sure that I didn't input this and I'm concerned this was populated by the fall update. I would never choose Boxing for winter boots and I never filled out activities for boots in the past. In addition to the item specifics like size where the mapping could be determined, did eBay also try to update other item specifics based on some unknown criteria and potentially cause errors in existing listings? If so, are you going to stand by the sellers when a buyer attempts to cite one of the mistaken updates for a "not as described" case?
