Repeatedly Have to Sign In

No matter how many times I check the "Keep me signed in" box, I cannot stay signed in. Anyone else having that problem?

Repeatedly Have to Sign In

Repeated sign-in or Captcha requests or failures might be a sign that your browser is having problems saving cookies properly, or else a sign of a network issue. Using a VPN or a hotspot, or certain kinds of privacy software might also cause some issues.

Make sure your browser is up-to-date and has JavaScript enabled (and not blocked) and that cookies are not being blocked:

https://www.whatismybrowser.com/

Try using a different browser or a private or incognito browser window and see if you run into the same Captcha issues. If not, try manually erasing just your eBay cookies once in your original browser.

If you are using an ad blocker, try temporarily disabling it to see if that makes a difference.

Try an alternative link to sign in to rule out an issue with a particular link:

https://signin.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll

If you are using a mobile browser, try changing to a different browser mode: mobile, classic or desktop. Try a desktop browser or a mobile browser in desktop mode.

Or try using the eBay app.

If you contact eBay directly, mention ALERT15299 to have your account added to the open ticket.

Browsers are up-to-date. Have tried different browsers.  Am not using an ad blocker and am not using mobile. I hate the eBay app.

Repeatedly Have to Sign In

The last few weeks, on a PC, I've noticed this problem with the forum. Having to sign in where I didn't have to before. Deleted cookies, checked the right boxes were ticked on both .uk and .com, made no difference.

After a week it started working as it used to. I thought fine the problem has been fixed. But after a few days I am back to signing in.

I guess it will start working again or not. It's ebay.

I have that same issue, only when coming into the community. There's no capcha. I'm also redirected to the sign in page when replying to a post. This happens on both pc and tablet. All browsers are updated cleared cache and cookies, no VPN ( whatever that is) ..still have to sign back in.
I remain signed in on eBay no issues there just when coming into the community.

Maybe the community is telling me something.🤨😑

Yes exactly that. Maybe this part has been messed up somehow.

I've not noticed the "You'll need to sign in again if you close and reopen your browser to access the forums" before. Is that new and doesn't it contradict the "Sign me in automatically to community discussion areas" part.

Well for me today the community is back to staying logged in.

Will it stay like that? I doubt if even ebay knows the answer to that.

Back to not staying signed in for the past couple of weeks. I guess that "You'll need to sign in again if you close and reopen your browser to access the forums" is the problem.

That and ebay's definition of "staying signed in" is different than every other website.

same here! Then they keep asking every few logs in if I want to sign up for easy log in using PIN, fingerprint and something else, no I do not! I just want to stay logged into the forums! The only way to stay logged in is to run the forums in the background and work from a different window.

eBay browsing, no problem almost never have to sign in there.

For the past week or so it's back to staying signed in, as it's supposed to do.

Fingers crossed it stays that way.

It must be difficult for the ebay programmers. Typing and keeping their fingers crossed at the same time.
