Receiving "ending soon" notifications about items I'm no longer watching

I once watched this item, but stopped watching it after I bought it. I'm now seeing notifications that it's about to end.

This is happening for multiple items that I used to watch but no longer do.

I see notifications for different "ending soon" items on desktop than I do in the iOS app (version 5.5.0).

The items do not appear on my watchlist on the desktop website, mobile website, or in the app.

I've had stuff like that happen but don't regard it as the end of civilization as we know it so have no trouble ignoring them. 

What with Brexit, Harry's new girlfriend, the Aussie's about to trample you in the league & union etc.you've got enough on your plate. ...lol.

This reply is not helpful. If we were to put up with everything that is not correct, that would all add up and the world would cease to be.

People were talking about a phantom notification bell. Click on it and it says you're all caught up. That's got something to do with it. I had a flash of an item I deleted from my watch list and then it went to all caught up. I also got an item ending notification yesterday for an item which was no longer in stock. It wasn't in stock because I bought it a month ago!   You can't make these glitches up. 

I know this isn't helping you, but it explains that it's another common new glitch. Most likely permanent.

I've also been getting emails for items that are not (never been) in my watched items list telling me they are ending soon. This happens at least once a week recently. I reported the problem to ebay today via chat and sent them one of the emails. I hope this gets sorted out soon as it is become most annoying.
