I received an e-mail apparently from Ebay saying something like starting in October they are going to change something about Google Chrome and http and that some of my items contain non-secure content and said I should click on some link to check. Does anyone know if this is a spam e-mail?

Can't attest to the email.........but there is an announcement about the problem/solution here:
http://community.ebay.com/t5/Announcements/Stronger-Browser-Security-Standards-Ahead/ba-p/27389922
If you click on the i tool link, it should take you to where you can check your listings.....it does require you to sign in, but ebay has said no personal data goes to the company that is handling the checking part......

I read through the link and I'm not sure if my listings have any problems with them. I just have photos and words describing the listings. Is this going to cause a problem?

I did just why they explained and used the I-tools thing. They reviewed all my listings and the report showed not one was at fault. All listings had green check marks next to them. So why is eBay telling me there is a problelm with https?

Seems this is dangerous as you have to allow access to your eBay data to a 3rd party company. I was too chicken to do it until the company fixes their link to their privacy policy...now a defunct link ...and more then 2 folks out there can say they used it and it's fine.
What's wrong with the techs here on eBay providing a proper fix within eBay???

Are you saying it might cause a problem if I used the i-ways link? I haven't tried it yet.

I used the iWay service and have HTTP in 169 of 214. It is identified in 167 of them as the tagline for Turbo Lister. I have attempted to bulk edit the Turbo Lister Icon and couple of lines of script that appear at the end of each of the older listings that were done with Turbo Lister (do not use it now since it is not going to be maintained). None of it goes away unless I delete it editing each listing individually. Then there are 2 with HTTP from the pictures with ProMng eBay's own listing tool. Could someone give me a straight forward way to get the HTTP out or changed to HTTPS. I would prefer to have no tagline with Turbo Lister anymore as that is wasted space and information. Is eBay themselves going to solve the Turbo Lister icon problem. They put it there, not me. I would be so appreciative for help with this.

I still haven't tried this yet. Has anyone tried it and had any problems?

I have only looked at 6 or soof your listings and see no content to set of the bot. Any listings that contain images (I did not see any in the descriptions) could be an issue if they are http. See below.
Your listings contain, well, the icon for TurboLister. Guess what? It is not secure. In your case changing the http to may or may not work. It depends on whether eBay has changed the TL icon to https. I would think that they have, since they have also fixed the FileExchange logo. See below.
Below is a link for instructions to use BEAR (eBay's bulk edit and replace tool) to change the http to https. The first part of the post is the instructions to modify your listings. The second is about another tool to scan your listings.

I no longer use Tubolister to list items. I use Wonderlister for everything. Am I OK with this?
