I received an expensive looking cardigan that I did not order. It seems to have been a mistake at the Ebay centre in the UK. I have tried to find the seller whose address is on the parcel via facebook, but no luck. Somebody somewhere must be quite upset! While in the meanwhile I am here in New Zealand with a cardigan I do not know how to return. I have not been able to contact any help on the ebay site, it just sends me round in circles, because this does not fit into any of their buttons to click (grrrr!). Any help, anybody? Thanks.

If you bought something from an Ebay seller and haven't recieved an item from them, have you tried contacting that Ebay seller through Ebay's messaging system to see if they sent the wrong package to you? Yours might be arriving to the wrong person in a bad mix up.
Was there a packing slip with an order ID inside of the box? Then you could contact Ebay with the order ID. To me this is just another reason for sellers to include a packing slip in the package. You could always try to contact Ebay anyhow if you are sure the cardigan is from an Ebay seller.
Since the box is already opened, you can't do a return to sender even if it were possible.
Would it be too costly to just send it back to the return address on the package? This just becomes a moral issue of what to do.
Not sure what else to do besides keeping the item if you can't find the seller, or pay for shipping back, or feel you should have to pay to ship it back. That feeling is understandable. What is the right thing to do though....

The "eBay centre at the UK" did not send you the cardigan. You need to try to locate the seller who actually shipped it to you.
So this is a seller that you have never ordered anything from?
