Rec'd policy violation notice and listing removal

I had the December 1982 Playboy Christmas Gala issue listed for months. Today I get a notice that the listing was removed for policy violations - the emails said:

We had to remove your listing because it didn’t follow our Protecting minors policy. We don’t allow listings that include images or descriptions of minors (under 18) in a compromising situation, even if the listing is not intended to be sexual in nature. Minors must be fully clothed.

What activity didn't follow the policy

Due to content involving nude minors, the item you listed is not permitted on eBay (Playboy December 1982). We appreciate that you chose to utilize our site, but we must ask that you please not relist in this case.

What you need to do next

The easiest way to avoid this in the future is to ensure that your current and future listings follow this policy.

What is the policy

We don’t allow listings with the following or similar items or descriptions:

- Images of minors who are not fully clothed
- Images of minors where the item description is based on their clothing
- Modeling photos of minors, even when the subject is fully clothed
- Listings that include the words "child", "children", "young girls", or "young boys" to describe an item containing nudity or sexual situations, even when the subject or performers are at least 18 years old, or the words are part of the product title
- Listings that include the words "teen", "teens", "teenager", or "Lolita" in a sexual context, without indicating that the subject or performers are at least 18 years old
- Listings for minor anime, such as Shota-con, Lolicon, and similar or related items

Again, this has been listed for months!  If you know Playboy you know they never had anything to do with minors inside or outside of their magazine.  In addition to that, there are 31 Active listings for the same issue and 34 sold issues. Why was mine singled out? Does anyone  know who I can contact about this?  I read their policy in the email as well as on the  ebay site. I still can't understand why this happened? I can live with not relisting it but I don't want this violation on my record especially when it is not a real violation. I already have one negative feedback (my first ever since joining ebay as a buyer when they first opened) that Ebay has not taken off even though it was the post office who lost the package - which as far as Ebay rules say, that is beyond the seller's control. I have all the tracking info and emails from the USPS regarding this issue.   I am getting disillusioned with Ebay.

Spoke to a live ebay agent today as i had the same issue. Apparently Brooke Shields was featured in the magazine while only being 17 at the time. She was not nude in the photo, but ebay is sticking with this being a policy violation as it is an adult magazine with a minor in it.

Rec'd policy violation notice and listing removal

HI I received the same violation for Posting Playboy anniversary issues (50th, 40th and 35th) and I was cited for the protecting minors violation. I called ebay customer service and was told there were indeed women who were under 18 when they were photographed. One was Elizabeth Ann Roberts and another was Nancy Crawford. They appeared back in the late 1950s and were indeed under 18 when photographed.  I did a Google search of their names and Playboy and this is true.
