RSS is still not available

E.g., https://www.ebay.com/dsc/i.html?_ipg=200&_nkw=tablet&_rss=1&rt=nc

Opening a new thread since the old one was just closed, and the issue is not resolved.

Re: RSS is still not available

I just checked some older scripts I have running on "local content" news websites.

The scripts aggregate RSS info for a specific location -- including (3) "feeds" of eBay listings (that no longer work).

eBay got it own page with three sections -- lists for:

1. Items with "placename" in title.

2. Items with "Local Pickup" or "Pickup Only" in listing (and matched zipcode and 10 mile radius).

3. "Hot Auctions" --- all auction items with more than 5 bids,  (and matched zipcode).

They used the  "desc.shop.ebay.com/i.html" base URL  and allowed parameters like:

?LH_TitleDesc=1

&LH_Auction=1

&LH_NOB=5..

&LH_Distance=99999..10

&_fpos=99999

&_nkw=%28%22local+pickup%22%2C+%22pickup+only%22%29

&_okw=%28%22local+pickup%22%2C+%22pickup+only%22%29

&_rss=1

&_sadis=10

&_sop=7

(*NOTE: "99999" above would be replaced with a US zipcode)

If there is an API, widget, or other way to do this, I'd like to know.

It's too bad eBay and much of the "corporate web" doesn't understands the power and value of RSS.
