Problems With Entering Ebay Gift Card Code.

I went out to purchase an eBay Gift card to order a Mustang model Kit I saw the other day. I have never had any trouble with eBay and their gift cards until today. When I got to the checkout to enter the code. I got this message. "this code can't be used with the payment option you selected".  I don't have a PayPal or debit/credit card and in the past, I've been able to use a gift card with no problems. Has anyone else had this problem?

I believe that there is a note on the back of the gift cards I have seen that says both an eBay account and a paypal account are required to use the card. It is possible that was not strictly enforced previously, but judging by the number of gift card threads appearing on the discussion boards lately, perhaps eBay has begun to enforce that now.

Same problem for me, my card was working just fine just last week. Now this **bleep** is happening, I keep getting the same message.
