Put simply, it doesn't work anymore.
I click it, and all that happens is the box around the variations jumps up a line closer to where the button is.
Tried this in two different browsers, same deal. I normally use Firefox, but tried Edge as well too. Both react the same way. It was working fine yesterday.
If I delete all the entries, cannot re-add.
But it will auto-fill the entries if I let it by changing the Attributes. Which I don't want to do.
Listing in question:

I like having this feature, as I have multiple brands of these to list eventually. Just want to be sure its not something I'm doing wrong, or should do differently or something just wrong with it and not me. As I said, it was working just fine, but now I can't add any combinations at all.
I tested my other variation listings and have the same results.
I may try a draft one and see if I can from a fresh start. Will update if that works, but something is bugged out here.
Thanks.

I had mentioned this as a possibility last week outside of it being a pain in the ass, but yeah, its a work around. But don't let it deter you all from pestering them into fixing it properly!

That was back on the first page of the thread. I see my reply has now bounced us to 5.
But yeah, you can modify attributes, let it add rows for you automatically and then modify them from there. Its just a pain in the ass as it tends to create rows for every variation of item, usually WAY more than you need and you have to delete the ones you don't want. But it does... Work.

This is not an issue of incompetence. It is an issue of priority. Why would you disparage the developers when you know darn good and well they are only doing what they are told to do?
Unless you have worked on a software project of this size, I have on many occasions, you cannot begin to understand all that goes into a "hotfix".
I'm not making excuses for eBay. I am very frustrated with this issue as it directly affects my business. I just wish people would be careful when tossing blanket insults over the fence. Especially when they do not specifically understand the issue, process or development strategy of a particular company.

Not really surprising unfortunately.
Unless I am mistaken (and I might be), this issue is related to, or because of, a change or update to a JS library. So imagine you update one of the JS libraries because you need the functionality a newer version supports. In doing that you accidentally invalidate the code for, let's say, this issue. Well, now you're in a pickle... You can fix this issue by reverting to the previous library but that will invalidate the new code for which you needed the updated library. So the better solution is to fix all of the items that got broken by the new library. Hmmm... suddenly this is turning into way more than just a hotfix as one must assume there could be other issues beyond this one. Hello regression testing. Probably automated but God only knows what else will be found. See how the rabbit hole is getting larger and deeper?
Again, I'm not defending eBay. I am defending the developers. Could this have been handled better? Yes. Could they be more transparent and tell us what is really going on? Absolutely. Will this eventually get fixed and we all live happily ever after? Yes.

If you have few variations it is fine, but if you have about 50 variations per color and then each variation has sizes S, M, L, XL XXL, a number of lists are generated that are then mixed with those sold and
You have to go 1 by one and be careful not to leave something that you already sold. It becomes impossible, it is even better to create a new list.

For the last two days I have been trying to use the "add Variation" button in every type of listing (existing, new, draft, draft copy, etc) and it appears that everything is now back to functional. Of course I am always leary at first but so far so good. Rejoice!
