Re: Problem accessing new listings - error received

Yeah I've been getting the same all morning. Just checked again and it's still the case.

No specific listing/browser. You click on a listing from ebay's search results, "Checking your browser" comes up. Click to see feedback "Checking your browser", click to reply to a message "Checking your browser".

They might have turned up the "check for a human" dial a bit too high 🙂 Hopefully it goes back to "normal" soon

Re: Problem accessing new listings - error received

I have not encountered that on ebay.com.

Are you seeing that on ebay.com or ebay.com.au?

Anything odd about your network connection? Using a VPN, hotspot or Starlink network?

A quick Google search of that error code turns up the following AI overview:

"Here's a breakdown of potential causes and solutions:

Possible Reasons:

Bot Detection: eBay might suspect your browsing activity is automated due to your speed, browser settings, or plugins interfering with JavaScript.

Browser Security: The message could be triggered by specific browser extensions or security software that might be interfering with eBay's ability to load properly.
Network Issues: Inconsistent DNS or other network problems could cause the redirect loop.
Malware: While less common, malware can sometimes cause redirection issues.
VPN or Hotspot Issues: Using a VPN or public hotspot might also trigger this message, especially if it's causing IP address fluctuations.

Solutions to Try:

Clear Browser Cache and Cookies: Specifically clear cookies and cache related to eBay.

Disable Browser Extensions: Temporarily disable browser extensions or plugins to see if they are the culprit.
Check Javascript: Ensure JavaScript is enabled in your browser settings.
Try a Different Browser or Private Browsing: Use a different browser or a private/incognito window to see if the problem persists.
Update Your Browser: Ensure your browser is up-to-date to the latest version.
Check Date and Time: Ensure your system's date and time are accurate.
Contact eBay Support: If the issue persists, contact eBay support and provide them with the error message.
Disable Ad Blockers: Temporarily disable ad blockers to see if they are interfering.
Check for VPN Issues: If using a VPN, try accessing eBay without it to see if it resolves the issue.
Run an Antivirus Scan: Ensure there are no unauthorized third-party programs or viruses running."

Re: Problem accessing new listings - error received

None of that applies to me and nothing's changed on my end. I do see this happen from time to time. Maybe there's a region they've turned up the security for and it's interfering with normal browsing for some. Something quite innocent could be triggering the responses, who knows.
