Problem With Pages Timing Out

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Recently I try to load 'certain' ebay pages and they time out.  Home page and main ebay page always

load instantly... but when I try to message customers or bring up sold and awaiting shipment/payment pages they often time out and will not reload... then suddenly they will all start loading quickly... then, they

start timing out again.  This also occurs when trying to bring up the print postage page.

I have defraged and cleaned  out cookies, etc.  I have switched browsers (from chrome to explorer), nada, the

problem continues.  I also recently purchased a brand new laptop and hoped the problem would be taken

care of .... but the same thing continues to happen.  That computer has not had time to

acquire any glitches.

It has gotten to the point this is seriously interfering with business.  Very disruptive trying to post auctions

as well as communicate with customers, and with sending out invoices.  Really having a hard time with this.

Thank you for any help you might be able to give.

Problem With Pages Timing Out

I think this is a problem for many people, I've received many emails about this. I have been working on this
problem and can offer a solution. I have downloaded the viasat browser.... this browser has the same look
of chrome. If you have your google account open then your saved places should copy over without issue.
When you re-log into your bank accounts and other accounts that are sensitive you will be required to use
your screen name/password and then save it. I am guessing with a new browser these institutions have software
that are protecting information.

Since I installed and started using this browser there has been a 90% improvement. There still are periods
of 'time outs', but they are far less frequent. Overall, this browser works very well and loads pages quickly.

Problem With Pages Timing Out

I use insanely old Firefox 3.6.24 (2011), FF31.0 (2014), and FF52.2.1ESR (mid 2018) and have none of those issues. Nor do most others using newer versions of Firefox.

eBay messaging IS sometimes slow to load (30 seconds lag on rare occasions), and site settings take minutes to load at times (a known problem for everyone for years), but no page timeouts ever.

Seller Hub works fine, My eBay pages work fine, both shipping label flows work fine, purchase history, feedback, search, these community forums, help pages, the cart, and checkout work fine.

(some eBay functions do not work in FF3.6.24 at all due to it's lack of newer functionality, suck as feedback, order details, checkout, and a very few of the latest eBay changes like the new label flow do not work in FF31 and require use of FF52, but that is to be expected, But they don't time out - just end up with partially blank pages sometimes)

The more I'm investigating this the more I'm realizing this problem is possibly browser oriented. I'm thinking that updates are happening with eBay and our older browsers are not able to process. Update your browser/browsers OR try using different browsers and see if this may help solve the problem.

So far by using the Viasat browser my problem has improved 90%... I can live with that.

Problem With Pages Timing Out

Been having this problem for the last several days (mostly when trying to answer questions, print labels, "sell similar" or "relist" an item.     WE can all figure out how to get around this stuff.  But I'm not so sure buyers will take the time to try to figure it out....(much less switch browsers).

Problem With Pages Timing Out

I have had the same problem for a while. The ebay summary takes forever to load, then when it finally does all columns are marked as "unavailable". I generally have to load it twice, and usually only the second time does it show the data. That's been happening for months.

But now trying to look at feedback, login, looking at items with bids... any secondary seller screen either takes minutes to load, or times out. then it will work the next time, and back to multi-minute loads.

As full-time sellers this has become a real issue with our workflow.

We've got new computers (i7-i9) and 30mbs DSL. Same problem on our Pixel phones with LTE.

the ebay servers are not functioning properly.

Problem With Pages Timing Out

I had thought I had the problem solved by changing browsers (and updating old browsers)... but
seems like I'm right back where I was with pages timing out. It goes in spells, at times things are
fine, at other times things time out constantly.

I did call ebay today and asked if they had any suggestions but the service rep. would only tell me he
would forward the problem to tech support. I asked if there was any way I could talk to them and he said he would forward an email to them but that there was no way for me to talk to them personally.

I am a small vendor, but I do depend on my income from ebay....disappointed that I do not see
more concern with this problem when I called.

Problem With Pages Timing Out

I have been having problems loading the pages also for about the last two weeks.  I thought it was my computer and cleaned things out yesterday but it isn't any better today. Does anyone have any ideas if this is just temporary?  I don't have the patience to go through this all the time.

Your exactly right... this has just started within the last two weeks. Before that I've never had any
problems.... but when I talked to eBay they are not saying there is any prob. on their end???

Problem With Pages Timing Out

I decided to call and log my complaint as maybe if more do that it will be resolved. I got a very nice person who said they are aware of the problem and would add my name to the list. She suggested I use a different browser, so with her on the phone, I opened  my eBay pages with  Explorer instead of Chrome. While it was still a bit slow, it was faster than it has been on Chrome. So - I will use that for awhile and see if I have faster results or if that was just a fluke.

This is ridiculous. I have 1,500+ active listings and the latency issue has been unbearable. I've resorted to updating only 100-200 listings at at time, verses the available 500 via bulk, with my handling time for a recent vacation. Needless to say, eBay has some improvement to make. The continuous 'try again later' error message regardless of browser is a joke. I've wasted hours on both Safari and Chrome. Come on eBay - get with it.
