Printing Packing slips

For years, I've been printing two Packing slips on one piece of paper (when only one item was sold).  Starting yesterday, the single item slips are taking up 70% of a sheet and I'm only getting one packing slip per piece of paper.  I've tried reducing the size to 80%, but that just makes the print smaller and the slips are centered so they are still taking up more than half the page.  This is a ridiculous waste of paper.  Need assistance as to what I need to do to get back to two packing slips per sheet of paper.  Appreciate any help you can provide.

Re: Printing Packing slips

I changed my paper size from letter (8-1/2" x 11") to 8"x10" in my printer preferences.  It's printing in a smaller font, but each packing list is now only taking up 4" in the vertical direction.  So, I'm back to getting two packing slips per piece of paper.   Just have to change it back, when I'm done printing packing slips.

Re: Printing Packing slips

Which packing slip are you printing, the simple or the detailed one?

Re: Printing Packing slips

I only have one choice for "Packing slip".  I'm not doing the "Pick list", if that's what you are referring to as the simple list.  On the "customize" menu, the only item that is checked is the "Ship from address and name".  Thanks for trying to help.

Re: Printing Packing slips

The simple packing slip (not the Pick List) is the one done from the option at the upper right of the create label page.  It only takes up the very top of the label, as it is just a basic packing slip with no extra details.

Re: Printing Packing slips

Yes, this is the packing slip I am trying to print as well, but now it just comes up blank. I have even tried saving it as a pdf and printing from there but no luck. This is the same printer/print settings I have been using all along. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So the preview is blank?

Did you try clearing your browser's cache to force a fresh page?

Re: Printing Packing slips

Agreed, it's annoying when Ebay changes features for no apparent reason. Until they enlarged the size of packing slips last year to more than half a page, I would cut a bunch of sheets in half and load the printer up. It worked perfectly for both labels & packing slips. Now I can't do that and I have to just use full sheets for all printing because it's too much of a pain to swap sizes for every order.

Almost makes me wonder if I should just stop printing packing slips and just use the half sheets for shipping labels. My main concern is that buyers may forget that this item was ordered from Ebay and they might return it.

Any thoughts about the usefulness of packing slips to buyers?

Re: Printing Packing slips

I solved the problem by sending invoices instead of packing slips.  Only difference is that the invoice doesn't have a barcode that takes up space.  Am back to getting two receipts per sheet of paper.

Re: Printing Packing slips

Just scale or use fit-to-width when you print.  I output all my ebay packing slips to a 4"x6" label printer, so you certainly can get them to fit on a half sheet.
