Possibly major security bug?

Just recently I was going through my regular activity on ebay, and on a couple of pages other peoples' accounts were appearing rather than my own. It looked as if I was logged on to these accounts but of course I didn't want to fool around with anything so I don't know if the site would have actually given me access to them or not. I don't want to give details on a public forum for obvious reasons, so is there any official ebay channel I can contact about this? None of the "contact us" topics seem related to this, and I certainly don't want to wait around for an "agent" to call me.

Others have apparently run into a similar thing. Other than the notifications themselves, there does not appear to be any private data exposed, though.

See here for an example:

It didn't seem to be the same thing, I didn't notice any notifications. When I was on the Active and Sold pages, it was showing listings that weren't mine, had someone else's name in the upper left corner, and someone's else's account name and feedback number on the right side of the header. And the numbers they were showing for things like "active", "bids received", "shipped" etc didn't match what mine should have been.

You might want to contact eBay through social media:

https://twitter.com/askebay

https://www.facebook.com/eBay/

The folks that respond on social media seem to have more authority than the folks you can reach through a customer service call back.
